I started with Avenir Roofing in January 2021, initially joining the internal sales team and immediately enjoyed the feel-good atmosphere around the office. Everyone was (and is) very supportive and I felt part of the team straight away. Working in the sales office for the first 12 months gave me a good understanding of all the products and allowed me to build up strong relationships with customers, so when I was offered the role of Area Sales Manager for the South East, I couldn’t wait to get started. I thoroughly enjoy being out on the road meeting new people every day, from supporting existing customers and getting to know their individual needs through to meeting potential new customers and showing them how Avenir Roofing can help grow their business. Other elements of the role are equally rewarding, from setting up trade mornings, training staff and providing ongoing advice to merchants and, sometimes, their customers.
Away from work you will usually find me out on the golf course “ruining a good walk”, or at the pub, supporting my favourite team, Manchester United. I started with Avenir immediately after spending a year back-packing around Australia and Thailand, so it was a great opportunity to start building my career in sales after having satisfied my wander-lust (for now, at least).
